Notes comparison:
S: Both notes have similar information on scenes and wording. They were also put in the same order and organized slightly the same. Both notes were similar in the way that the elaboration of the movie was the same. D: One of the main differences I noticed was that my note format was different than the one of Cambridge. Mine was a bit sloppy and unorganized while Cambridge was neat and put together. Cambridge put it into categories while I simply did the notes to cater to my understanding, While I am still new at camera terminology and describing shots. While Cambridge is fully educated and knows all the correct terms. In the end, Cambridge's notes were more clear and understandable while mine were catered to my own needs and new understanding. response comparison: S: Both responses included the same information and use similar information from the notes. Both my response and Cambridge was in detail and well described. Overall both responses sounded similar but not the same. Both responses were organized and answered the questions asked/ D: There were not many differences in the response, they were along the same lines and both did a good job at answering the question. I would say that mine needed a bit more information on the examples but other than that they were pretty similar

Social media has become the biggest thing to happen in the last few decades, its become a great way to communicate with family, friends and even meet people worldwide. It's the perfect platform for marketing a product and get it out there to the public. Social media has become the perfect platform to market new music and help newer artists come up. For example there is a feature on the application Instagram that lets you share your favorite song to your followers, that could be exposing a new person to the song or artist helping them be discovered by others. Not only that, in recent years Apple Music and Spotify have made it easy to listen to whatever song regardless of your location. Back in 2016, for every minute of the day, around 38,000 hours worth of music were being listened to on Spotify. There are many more streaming platforms that have been created in the last 10 years that help catagorize the music by genre or artist which better helps the discovery of an artist or song. These streaming platforms have made it easier for consumers to listen to what genre they like or specific artists, some platforms even curate a personalized playlist for the customer based on what they listen to. This is new and different for the music industry, it helps introduce newer artists and music to those who listen to the same kind of genre or artist. A study created by LOOP has found that a playlists account for 31% of listening time, in comparason to albums which only account for 22% of listening time. There is no more need to promote new music on billboards when a celebrity can make a simple instagram post that their new album is out. The news spread like wildfire as all their fans rush to listen and tell all their own followers about it. This makes new artists not sign with any big brands or a manager, rather they choose to release their own music on Spotify or soundcloud. As to where years ago artists had to have their demos listened to in hopes a label would sign them. The new wave of social media has drastically helped how music is consumed and shared, helping both the artist and the listener.
Discuss the ways in which the extract from the video constructs meaning through the following:
• camera shots, angles, movement and composition • sound • mise-en-scène • editing. The character is portrayed by the actor Rami Malek, when the video begins with him on the train with the camera only focused on his face and his inner dialogue. The close up angles of the next few scenes as well as the mysterious ominous music sets an eerie tone. It keeps the viewers locked in as to what is about to happen next. He seems to have a lot of inner dialogue in which his voice has a raspy low tone adding on to the mood with the mysterious music in the background. The camera pans to him in the office and fast forward to him speaking to his childhood best friend. In the scene the camera is panned to both of them talking from the side and occasional face close ups on one another, this time no music but a few inner dialogue. We come to find that he hacks people and knows alot about them, the camera pans to the computer screen where he is showing what he is narrating about what he knows about the therapist. All these construct meaning to the video, when they all come together they create a mysterious character who we want to know more about, but he himself slowly reveals to the audience. The music and setting create the build up of the mood, as well as his raspy inner monologue in between shots. The importance of marketing film today is because as a society we are progressing, we have streaming services and the movies are to our disposal everywhere we go. Thanks to social media marketing is made easier, Ads can be subconciously placed everywhere and catered to your likings. For example you go to watch a YouTube video and the first AD that pops up is a trailer for a new movie, if the person watching the ad is interested he or she will plan to go out and watch said movie. Social media makes it easier for shows and movies to advertise. The news also gets around fast by one person telling another about the ad for a trailer they saw which could help the movie gain some publicity. Social media tracks your data on what you watch or what you search and recommend advertisements for movies and shows that may caterer to you taste. For example I was watching a video on how to neatly wrap Christmas gifts on YouTube, the first thing that popped up before the actual video was a trailer for a new Christmas movie. Of course me being in the Christmas spirit I hopped onto Netflix and watched the movie, so it did work on me. With site like Hulu and Netflix being available, it makes movies easier to advertise during the pandemic as well, where as the movie theaters are closed. Social media and streaming websites have definitely help boost the advertisement of new films on the rise. It helps show a good quality filmed trailer and includes the action packed / dramatic parts of the movie in order to catch the attention of the people watching so they will want to watch it.
I used this Vogue issue and used there table of content as an inspiration for what designed I wanted to have with my own. I used the minimal color pallet and bold Headlines to attract my viewers like Vogue did. This on was the only table that caught my attention, others were too tacky and not the vision I had in mind. I tried to also incorporate their numbering of which page each article was on.

Intertextuality is a relationship between texts, there are 3 types of intertextually. obligatory intertextuality, accidental intertextuality, optional intertextuality. Below are some examples of intertextuality found in modern day pop culture movies or shows The image above shows the popular adaptation of Pinocchio from Disney which was copied by every Shrek movie. The Shrek movies interpret the Disney princess and character which Disney is famously known for and copy them into their movies. The intertextuality used was the famous movie Star Wars that was giving homage to the movie by incorporating the show Family Guy as the star wars characters. The intertextuality was the Clueless movie which was used as the theme in Iggy Azalais "I'm So Fancy" music video.

This magazine is called Bally, it is a fashion magazine. It uses a minimalistic styler that I would like to base my magazine cover off of. The magazine is about style, fashion, and trends featuring upcoming designer brands. By reading the titles I cam assume this magazine will show my the latest collection of a clothing brand, trending styles, and an inside look on the birth of a fashion brand. This magazine is about educating about fashion, showing trends, and showing the newest clothing collection. Attention grabbers What grabber my attention while I was analyzing the magazine cover was The contrast of the font on the dark green background. I enjoyed how the background was a dark green and how the green suit and chair contrasted from the background all while making the chromatic look no an eye sore.
