Comparing my latest table of contents to my first one nab things have changed. I have added more color, to brighten up the page and attract readers. As well as add more enticing titles with more of a description compared to my first version. I was satisfied with my latest version on have seen the growth between both versions and now have a better understanding of what is more appealing to readers. I was able to keep the black and white all while enhancing the vision I had for my table of contents before.
My final magazine cover was drastically different from the first one I had made. The colors were brighter, I had better headline placement, as well as use a more enticing picture that was more on brand for the visual aesthetic. These changes helped me go from a bland magazine cover to one that best perceived as interesting and fun.
The speaker describes NIKO as everyones personality, one day you are friendly online but the next cold and ignoring. Social media shapes our identity because it creates a false sense of self. Pretending to be people who we want to be and not actually are, making the same personality. You grow into a person with no sense of self on the the fake version you curated for social media and all of you're followers to see, as if you are falsely advertising your personality.
Social media has taken a great roll in shaping my identity, especially since i grew up in an era where it was super accessible. I grew up watching you tubers, being on vine, scrolling through instagram. Me with no sense of personality or identity yet, had taken bits and pieces of my favorite role model and made them my own. I used to dress like the, talk like them, and even have some of their gestures down to the tea. This can be harmful because people can grow up and not have a sense of who they are or their own individuality. I completely agree with that is does influence you, especially since we spend so much time on our phones or watching tv. Monkey see monkey do, even if we don't know it we subconsciously follow other people. Some even become dissatisfied when their life is not of that of a famous instagram model or influencer. It has ruined our perception of a normal life or individuality as a whole. everyone just follows trends and goes along with one another. Making us have the same personality, style and even slang.
